Hi Dennison, welcome to RMH! Thanks for posting a comment. To answer your question, one of the stocks that I bought is actually down -6.59%, the other one is up 4.87%. In short, I’ve lost around -1.72% on paper. But since I haven’t sold any of the 2 stocks yet, I haven’t actually lost/gained anything. Which reminds me, I’ll try to do a follow-up on this article in the next few days/weeks. Watch out for that.
Hi lhoy, I’m not sure about the minimum for buying RTBs thru BPI. You can call BPI Capital @ (632) 816-9385 to get this information or find out more details about RTBs. Hope this helps.
@Fern, precisely the point. Using numbers may sound an exact science but without knowing what the numbers really mean, you still end up confused…or worse you end up convincing yourself to believe what you want to hear even when the other person actually meant something else.
@FS, Welcome to Rich Money Habits! Hope you’re having a wonderful thanksgiving celebration! I have to agree with you. EXCEL is still the best out there when it comes to creating easily customizable financial forms and templates.
@John, thanks for the input. Would you know if Mint.com has any plans to go international anytime soon? If Mint.com becomes available in the Philippines, I’d be the first one to signup!
Playing games is so much fun! I remember playing the game Cashflow 101 by Robert Kiyosaki. I had so much fun playing, I didn’t notice we played for more than 3 hours.
@Mutual Funds, I agree. For some, however, the stock market volatility is too much…To them, with greater return comes greater risk, and “probable” greater downfall. This is especially true if you don’t know what you’re doing.
@rowena, I’m glad you liked the article. My wife also started playing farmtown before…but after a while, she stopped it altogether and moved over to farmville. Playing these games does demand quite a bit of your time.
@Millionaire Acts, glad to hear from you. I’ve been following your blog for quite some time and I find your articles very informative. I totally agree. We need to create awareness to elevate the financial savviness of our countrymen. Shoot me an email if you have some specific ideas in mind.
